A real dive into the most pristine nature, discovering a precious underground mushroom, the dog that finds it and its handler "the truffle hunter." In the context of real nature, made of trees, earth and leaves and all the scents of our forests.

Find out what the Truffle Experience is all about!

Before tackling the forest you will have the opportunity to learn notions and curiosities about the magical world of truffles. We will give you in a very simple way all the indications you need to be able to face the 'experience in the best way. We will try to convey to you all our knowledge about truffles and try to answer all your curiosities.

This will be followed by a tasting of our Truffle products in which you can take advantage of purchasing both Fresh Truffles and the Truffle Preserves tasted, at a very advantageous price.

Once we reach the woods, we will meet the protagonists of this experience, the truffle hunter and his faithful 4-legged friend.

We will go into the truffle quarry sites, among the plants that generate the precious mushroom.

Here you can admire the mutual trust established between man and animal, smell the aroma of a freshly quarried truffle by having the opportunity to hold it in your hand as soon as it is extracted from the earth.

For those who wish, they can continue the experience at our affiliated restaurants with a typical menu of Umbrian tradition obviously based on truffles.

USEFUL INFORMATION

  • Available days are Monday through Friday
  • Hours are flexible. Recommended time 10:00am or 4:00pm (spring/summer)
  • Advance reservation of at least seven days is required
  • Truffle hunting can be done in all months of the year
  • In case of bad weather on the previous day that could affect the search with the dog or on the day itself, the experience is 100% refundable
  • Children under the age of 14 do not pay
  • Although the 'hike is not strenuous nor the trails dangerous we recommend wearing non-slip shoes and long pants.
