Among the many varieties of honeys, Millefiori honey is certainly the one with the largest production throughout Italy. This variety incorporates all the richness of the territory in which it is produced, highlighting the varied local flora and the different periods of flowering that generally last from May to the end of July.
Millefiori is a honey that naturally tends to crystallize; it is completely natural and synonymous with wholesomeness.
Not being a monoflora it encompasses all the notes of the flowers of the Umbrian hills, such as Alfalfa, Rosemary, Sulla, Lime, Clover, Dandelion, and Mint. The result is an amber honey with a caramelized flavor, but not cloying.
Millefiori honey is produced in the summer season, from the union of several concurrent blooms from May to late July.
Perfect for breakfast, spread on bread and rusks. It can be added to a hot drink but is also great paired with all kinds of cheese.
