Fresh Black Winter Truffle (tuber melanosporum Vitt.) is most pleasing to the nose, both its aroma and taste recalling that of chocolate.

Fresh Black Winter Truffle should be washed before using it, so use a medium-hard bristle brush to wash it under a trickle of cold running water. Dry it with paper towels.

In cooking, it is generally sliced over hot dishes with a special truffle slicer. To enhance its aroma even more, it is recommended to grate it in a bowl and add quality olive oil and salt.
